About this Event
The Canadian Mineral Processors (CMP) is a technical society of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM). The CMP regional conference provides opportunities to meet with industry operators, engineers, academics, manufacturers, suppliers and students to become familiar with current issues and practices and support the advancement of technology in mineral processing operations.
We are pleased to invite you to the 2024 Conference of the Canadian Mineral Processors Manitoba-Saskatchewan. The conference will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd and Thursday, October 24th in Saskatoon, SK.

Industry Tours
This year’s conference industry tours have not yet been determined and we would happily investigate offers from mineral processing sites or vendors in the area that would be willing to accomodate a tour. Call for Abstracts
We are welcoming submissions and hope to attract a high level of participation from Manitoba and Saskatchewan Operators, in addition to Academics and Service Providers. Engagement and participation from Producers is critical to the success of this event. All aspects of mineral processing are welcome, whether new projects, innovation/technologies, or lessons learned. We do not require a written paper at this time, but we are committed to offering the audience quality technical presentations. Please email Zachary Lang (zachary.lang@src.sk.ca) or Grant Mann (gmann@thurston.ca) to submit an abstract or inquire about presenting.
Authors selected will be required to submit a headshot/introduction, copy of the presentation, and provide a 20-minute technical presentation at the conference.
Student Bursary
The CMP MB/SK Branch is supporting students in Saskatchewan that are interested in a career in mining through bursaries. These bursaries are open to all post-secondary students in Saskatchewan/Manitoba regardless of institution or level of education. Please visit this link for more information.
